| Description | Purity ≥ 95% as determined by RP-HPLC, anion-exchange FPLC and/or reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel. Recombinant Rat MIP-1a produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 69 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 7853 Dalton. Recombinant Rat MIP-1a is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Amino Acid Sequence: The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids: Ala-Pro-Tyr-Gly-Ala. Biological Activity: Recombinant Rat MIP-1a is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The Activity is calculated by the ability to chemoattract of rat peritoneal macrophages using a conc. of 60 ng/ml. Protein Content: Protein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods: 1. UV spectroscopy at 280 nm using the absorbency value of 1.38 as the extinction coefficient for a 0.1% (1mg/ml) solution.
