Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of rat adiponectin (ADP) concentrations in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates. Sensitivity: 0.039ng/ml Range: 0.156-10ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of rat ADP. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between rat ADP and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for ADP has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any ADP present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ADP is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells.
