| Description | Purified (SDS-PAGE). Resistin is a member of a class of cysteine rich proteins and is also know as `serine/cysteine rich adipocytesepcific secretory factor' or ADSF or FIZZ3. It is secreted by adipose tissue and has been implicated in the pathogenesis of obesity-mediated insulin resistance and type II diabetes. Resistin also appears to act as a proinflammatory cytokine. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa17-108 from human Resistin, fused to 6x His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot as a control. |
