| Description | Purity ≥98% (SDS-PAGE and HPLC); Endotoxin: ≤1EU/ug (LAL). Fibroblast Growth Factor-basic (FGF-b or FGF-2) is a heparin binding growth factor which stimulates the proliferation of a wide variety of cells including mesenchymal, neuroectodermal and endothelial cells. FGF-b also exerts a potent angiogenic activity in vivo. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa134-288 of human soluble basic FGF, expressed in E. coli (NM_002006). Biological Activity: Measured by its ability to stimulate proliferation of NIH3T3 cells. The ED50 of this effect is between 0.1-1ng/ml. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. |
