No significant cross-reactivity or interference between guinea pig cortisol and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antigen. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with antibody specific for cortisol and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated goat-anti-rabbit antibody. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with pre-coated cortisol and cortisol in samples.
