| Description | The proto-oncogene MET product is the hepatocyte growth factor receptor and encodes tyrosine-kinase activity. The primary single chain precursor protein is post-translationally cleaved to produce the alpha and beta subunits, which are disulfide linked to form the mature receptor. Various mutations in the MET gene are associated with papillary renal carcinoma. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Sample Type: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of human hepatocyte growth factor receptor (c-MET/ HGFR) concentrations in serum, plasma and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: 0.39ng/ml Range: 1.56-100ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human c-MET.
