| Product Name | AMPK (A2/B2/G1), Recombinant, Human, His-tag |
| Description | Purified (~70-90%). AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) exhibits a key role as a master regulator of cellular energy homeostasis. AMPK exists as a heterotrimeric complex composed of a catalytic a subunit and regulatory beta and subunits. Binding of AMP to the subunit allosterically activates the complex. AMPK is activated in response to stresses that deplete cellular ATP (low glucose, hypoxia and ischemia) and via signaling pathways in response to adiponectin, leptin and CAMKKbeta. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human AMPK, fused at His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in Insect cells. Molecular Weight: ~36kD, 41kD, 69kD Specific Activity: 280nmol/min/mg as per activity assay protocol. Endotoxin: <1EU/ug (LAL) |
