| Product Name | TYRP1, Recombinant, Human, aa25-477, His-tag |
| Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). TYRP1, also known as 5, 6-dihydroxyindole-2-carboxylic acid oxidase, is a melanosomal enzyme that belongs to the tyrosinase family and plays an important role in the melanin biosynthetic pathway. It is a melanocyte-specific gene product involved in eumelanin synthesis. It is involved in the oxidation of 5,6-dihydroxyindole-2-carboxylic acid(DHICA) into indole-5,6-quinone-2-carboxylic acid. It is regulated by the microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF). Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa25-477 from human TYRP1, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~52.5kD (462aa) 50-70kD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions) AA |
