| Description | Purity ~ 95% (SDS-PAGE). Purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. DHPS, which belongs to the deoxyhypusine synthase family of proteins, is important for the first step in the hypusine biosynthesis pathway. This protein catalyzes the NAD-dependent transfer of the butylamine moiety of spermidine to the epsilon-amino group of a specific lysine residue of the EIF5A precursor protein to form the intermediate deoxyhypusine residue.
