| Description | When affected with obstructive or hepatocellular jaundice, conjugated bilirubin in blood increases. Conjugated bilirubin can excrete in urine when it exceeds renal threshold. Positive reaction is common in biliary tract obstruction caused by virus hepatitis, toxic hepatitis, cholelithiasis or other reasons. Hemolytic jaundice patients' conjugated bilirubin doesn't increase generally and their urine doesn't have bilirubin. This test is generally negative. Sample Type: Urine Intended Use: This kit can be used for detection of bilirubin content in samples, such as animal urine etc. Test Principle: Add Barium chloride into urine to absorb the bilirubin, then add Fouchet reagent into the sediment. Bilirubin will be oxidized to form green compound of blue bilicyanin, green biliverdin and yellow choletelin.
