| Description | Sample Type: Serum, plasma and cell culture supernates Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of human transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-b1) concentrations in serum, plasma and cell culture supernates. Sensitivity: 0.747ng/ml Range: 0.78-50ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human TGF-b1. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human TGF-b1 and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for TGF-b1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any TGF-b1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TGF-b1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells.
