| Description | Purity > 90% (SDS-PAGE). Full-length recombinant human neutrophil pro-collagenase (MMP-8), latent form. Recombinant Human MMP-8 produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain having a molecular mass of 75kD. Recombinant MMP-8 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Unit Definition: One unit of collagenolytic activity is defined as the cleavage of 1µg of collagen per minute. Biological Activity: Recombinant MMP-8 biological activity was found to be 100 units/ml after activation with APMA by solution assay method (10U 0 assays). Applications: Used as a standard for analyzing mammalian collagenase activity. Stability: Recombinant MMP-8 although stable at 140C for 1 week, should be stored desiccated below -180C. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles. |
