| Description | Lysate Preparation: Brain (cerebrum and cerebellum) was dissected from postnatal day 1 rats (Sprague Dawley). The tissue was rinsed in Hank's buffered saline solution and lysed in 1% SDS, 1.0mM sodium ortho-vanadate, 10mM Tris (pH 7.4) buffer. Brain lysates were sonicated then protein concentration was determined using the BCA method (Pierce). The lysate was then diluted to the final concentration in electrophoresis sample buffer. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. |
