| Description | Sample Type: Serum, plasma and lysate for RBC Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of human hemoglobin (Hb) concentrations in serum, plasma, lysate for RBC. Sensitivity: 7.8ng/ml Range: 15.6-1000ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human Hb. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human Hb and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the direct competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for Hb has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with biotin-conjugated Hb. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between Hb (Standards or samples) and biotin-conjugated Hb with the pre-coated Hb antibody. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells.
