Binds anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) which induces MAPK pathway activation, an important step in the anti-apoptotic signaling of PTN and regulation of cell proliferation. (ECO:0000269|PubMed:11278720, ECO:0000269|PubMed:1768439). Biological Activity: Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity was measured by its ability to enhance neurite outgrowth of E16E18 rat embryonic cortical neurons, when neurons were plated on 96 well culture plates that had been precoated with 100 ul/well of a solution of 510 ug/ml rHuPTN. |
