| Description | Purity ~98% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC). Purified by sequential chromatography. Endotoxin: ≤0.1ng/ug. TRAIL, a member of the TNF ligand superfamily, induces apoptosis in tumor cells but not normal cells. TRAIL is expressed by the cells of many tissues, including thymus, spleen, lung, kidney and others. This recombinant protein corresponds to the TNF-like portion of TRAIL's extracellular domain (168 amino acid residues). Reconstitution: Reconstitute with sterile, ddH2O to 0.5-1.0mg/ml. Do not vortex. Further dilutions should be made in aqueous buffers with carrier protein, such as 0.1-1.0% BSA. Biological Activity: ED50 = 1-3ng/ml, determined by the dose dependent induction of apoptosis with U343MG cells. |
