SS-B/La is a nuclear protein of 48kD with two structural domains of Mr 28,000 and Mr 23,000 generated by proteolytic cleavage.The human La (SS-B) autoantigen is an abundantly expressed putative RNA chaperone, functioning in various intracellular processes involving RNA. Recombinant Human LA/SS-B is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain having a molecular mass of 47.6kD. Dimers and Aggregates: ≤ 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis.
