| Description | Purified by size exclusion. Human CD56 is an adhesion molecule from the Ig superfamily which is restricted to NK cells in the immune system. It is believed that NK cells form a first line of defense against tumor cells and cells infected with bacteria and viruses. Molecular Structure: A soluble fusion protein consisting of the extracellular loop domains 1-4 (370aa) of human CD56 fused to murine IgG2a Fc(232aa), with a predicted monomeric molecular weight of 67.8kD. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. |
