| Description | CD46 Antibody (clone 6D8/8) LS-C188272. Recognizes the porcine CD46 cell surface antigen, a 50-60kD glycoprotein also known as membrane cofactor protein (MCP). Porcine CD46 is expressed on a wide range of cells including leucocytes, platelets and erythrocytes. CD46 serves as an inhibitor of complement activation on host cells. Clone 6D8/8 is reported to induce homotypic cell aggregation. Removal of sodium azide is recommended prior to use in functional assays-XXX recommend the use of for this purpose. The antibody detects bands of approximately 50-60 kD in pig erythrocyte lysates. |
