| Product Name | Nocodazole Solution in DMSO, 5mg/ml |
| Description | Nocodazole: ≥99% (HPLC); DMSO: ≥99.9%. Nocodazole, an inhibitor of microtubule formation, was found to greatly inhibit cell division around the mound stage as well as during the vegetative growth phase, when applied to exponentially growing Ax-2 cells. Mitotic arrest of cells with nocodazole can be used to study phosphorylation of microtubule-associated proteins which increase during mitosis, concomitant with increased microtubule dynamics. Nocodazole has been found to dramatically inhibit T cell antigen receptor (TCR) signaling, independently of its ability to depolymerize microtubules. Nocodazole arrests the cell cycle at G2/M phase and prevents phosphorylation of the T cell antigen receptor and inhibits its activity. Appearance: Supplied as a liquid. Purity: Nocodazole: ≥99% (HPLC); DMSO: ≥99.9% Method for Determining Identity: Proton NMR Spectroscopic Analysis Usage: Use stock solution at 5mg/ml in DMSO. Further dilutions can be made in culture media. Due to insolubility (nocodazole is only slightly soluble in water), n |
