| Description | Progesterone (Pg) BioAssay™ ECL Kit (General) is a quantitative, in vitro, competitive inhibition immunoassay (ECL) suitable for use in Serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Test Principle: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Progesterone. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Progesterone (Pg) and unlabeled Progesterone (Pg) (in standards or samples) for limited binding sites on the pre-coated antibody. After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Progesterone (Pg) in the sample. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics.
