| Description | Sample Type: Serum, plasma and milk Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of bovine beta-lactoglobulin (Beta-LG) (allergen Bos d 5) (LGB) concentrations in serum, plasma and milk. Sensitivity: 0.039ug/ml Range: 0.156-10ug/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of bovine LGB. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between bovine LGB and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for LGB has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with biotin-conjugated LGB. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between LGB (Standards or samples) and biotin-conjugated LGB with the pre-coated LGB antibody.
