| Description | The rat MMP-8 BioAssay™ ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of rat MMP-8. Sample Type: Serum and plasma (using heparin as an anticoagulant, EDTA and citrate are not recommended). Cell culture supernatants and urine. Intended Use: Applications include: quantitative protein detection, establishing normal range and validation of antibody array results. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of MMP-8 is typically <50pg/ml. Specificity: Recognizes rat MMP-8. This ELISA kit shows no cross-reactivity with the following cytokines tested: rat CINC-2, CINC-3, CNTF, Fractalkine, IL-1alpha, IL-1beta, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, GM-CSF, IFN-gamma, Leptin, Lix, MCP-1, MIP-3alpha, beta-NGF, TIMP-1, TNF-alpha. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs an antibody specific for MMP-8 coated on a 96-well plate.
