The membrane-bound form promotes adhesion of those leukocytes to endothelial cells. May play a role in regulating leukocyte adhesion and migration processes at the endothelium (By similarity). Binds to CX3CR1. (ECO:0000250). Biological Activity: Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by a cell proliferation assay using human peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) is less than 0.5ug/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 2000 IU/mg. |
