| Description | ADIPOR2 Antibody (aa11-40) LS-C187897. Recognizes an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of Adiponectin Receptor protein 2 (AdipoR2), a transmembrane protein and member of the ADIPOR family, expressed mainly in the liver and skeletal muscle, which acts a receptor for both globular and full-length adiponectin. AdipoR2 acts as a mediator of fatty acid oxidation, glucose uptake by adiponectin and increased AMPK, PPARalpha ligand activity, thereby playing an important role in the regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism, and in oxidative stress. Is reported as suitable for use in immunocytochemistry on acetone fixed cells. |
