| Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). Interleukin-7 is a potent lymphoid cell growth factor produced primarily by stromal cells. IL-7 has been shown to support the proliferation and differentiation of pre Band early T cells as well as displaying a biological effect on cells of NK and myeloid lineages. IL-7 is expressed in Human 293 cells as a highly glycosylated protein. Under reducing conditions, IL-7 migrates as three separate bands as 19kD, 25kD and 30kD. In comparison IL-7 produced in an E. coli expression system undergo glycosylation and migrate as a single band at 17kD. Production in human 293 cells uses a serum-free, chemically defined media and offers authentic glycosylation. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human IL-7, expressed in human 293 cells.
