| Description | Purified (SDS-PAGE). Fatty acid binding proteins are a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins (14-15kD) that bind long chain fatty acids, their CoA derivatives, billiruben, organic anions and other small hydrophobic molecules. I-FABP (or FABP-2) is found predominantly in the intestine and is believed to be involved in the intestinal absorption of long chain fatty acids. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-132 from human intestinal FABP, fused to 6x His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot as a control. |
