| Description | Purified (SDS-PAGE). VEGF is a heparin-binding glycoprotein, which can exist in a number of different isoforms. The protein has been found to be a potent inducer of angiogeneis and endothelial cell proliferation and plays an important role in regulating vasculogenesis. VEGF can be detected in both the plasma and serum and has been implicated in several disease states associated with augmented angiogenesis. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa5-169 from human VEGF 165 isoform, fused to 6x His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot as a control. |
