| Description | The Melanocyte-Stimulating Hormone Alpha (Alpha-MSH) BioAssay™ ELISA Kit (Mouse) is a quantitative sandwich assay for the detection of Alpha-MSH in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. Detection Range: 15.625-1000pg/ml Sensitivity: <9.375pg/ml Precision: Intra-Assay CV: <8% Inter-Assay CV: <10% Assay Principle: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Alpha-MSH. Standards and samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells followed by a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Alpha-MSH. Streptavidin conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Alpha-MSH, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated streptavidin complex will exhibit a change in color.
