| Product Name | Adenosine A3 Receptor, Rat (A3AR) (Control Peptide) |
| Description | Highly purified. A 15 amino acid sequence corresponding to rat A3R gene. This region corresponds to the 3rd extracellular domain. This sequence demonstrates 46% homology (7/15 AA) with human and 20% (3/15 AA) with sheep A3R sequences. Adenosine deaminase (ADA; EC 3.54.4) catalyzes deamination of adenosine to inosine. ADA is found in primarily cytosolic. It has also been located at the cell membrane and implicated in the control of the extracellular concentration of adenosine. The purine nucleoside adenosine modulates diverse physiological functions including induction of sedation, vasodilatation, suppression of cardiac rate and contractility, neurotransmitter release, inhibition of platelet aggregation and lipolysis. Adenosine released from cells interacts with membrane receptors (adenosine receptors, ARs). Based upon, biochemical and pharmacological criteria, ARs have been classified into A1, A2a, A2b, and A3. The high affinity receptor A1 inhibits adenyl cyclase, whereas low affinity |
