| Description | Leptin is an identified protein product of the mouse obese gene. cDNA clones encoding Leptin have been isolated from human, simian, mouse, and rat cells. Rat Leptin shares approximately 96% and 82% sequence identity with the mouse and human protein, respectively. Rat Leptin cDNA encodes a 167 amino acid residue protein with a 21 amino acid residue signal sequence that is cleaved to yield the 146 amino acid residue mature protein Sample Type: Serum and plasma Intended Use: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for the in vitro quantitative measurement of leptin in rat serum, plasma; and other biological fluids not being tested. Sensitivity: 69pg/ml Range: 163.8-40,000pg/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of rat leptin. Precision: Intra CV<10%; Inter CV <15% Test Principle: This assay employs the fast quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique.
