| Description | Purity ≥95% by SDS-PAGE. Recombinant VCAM fragment comprises a 203 amino acid fragment (109-331) corresponding to the Ig-like C2 type domains 2 and 3 and is expressed in E. coli with anamino-terminal hexahistidine tag. VCAM-1 is a cell surface sialoglycoprotein expressed by cytokine activated endothelium. The protein has a number of functions including the regulation of leukocyte migration, leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion and signal transduction. VCAM-1 may also play a role in a number of inflammatory diseases. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. |
