| Description | Recognizes human intact (250kD) and collagenase digested (150kD) tissue Type VII collagen. Does not crossreact with types I, II, III, IV, V collagens, lamins or fibronectin. Epitope: Located on non-helical (non-collagenous) C-terminal region of collagen VII and is resistant to collagenase, trypsin, pronase, neuraminidase, chondroitinase, and hyaluronidase. It is, however, lost by digestion of collagen VII with pepsin. Species Crossreactivity: marmoset, monkey, bovine, sheep, goat, porcine and guinea pig. |
