| Product Name | TPO, Recombinant, Rat |
| Description | Purity ~98% (SDS-PAGE). TPO is a lineage specific growth factor, produced in the liver, kidney and skeletal muscle. It stimulates the proliferation and maturation of megakaryocytes, and promotes increased circulating levels of platelets in vivo. TPO signals through the c-mpl receptor and acts as an important regulator of circulating platelets. Human and mouse TPO exhibits cross-species reactivity. Recombinant rat TPO is a fully biologically active 174aa polypeptide, which contains the erythropoietin-like domain of the full length TPO protein. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to 174aa from full-length rat TPO, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~18.7kD Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to stimulate the proliferation of human MO7e cells. The expected ED50 is ~0.2ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of ~5x10e6units/mg. Endotoxin: <0.1ng/ug of protein (<1EU/ug) AA Sequence: SPVPPACDPR LLNKLLRDSY LLHSRLSQCP DVNPLSIPVL LPAVDFSLGE WKTQTEQSKA QDILGAVSLL LEGVMA |
