| Description | Purity ~98% (HPLC, SDS-PAGE). Nerve growth factor-b (NGF-b) is a potent neurotrophic factor that supports the growth and survivability of nerve and/or glial cells. The active form of human NGF-b is a dimer, formed by two identical 119aa subunits, which is held together by strong hydrophobic interactions. Recombinant human BGF-b produced in CHO cells is a homodimer, glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 2 identical 119aa and having a molecular weight of 16.95kD.
