| Description | Recognizes human Desmoglein 2, Mr ~116kD. Reacts with many cultured cell lines including CaCo-2, HaCaT, MCF-7. No reactivity with rat, mouse. Recognizes Desmoglein 2 present in low concentrations in all epithelia and in tumors derived therefrom as well as in heart muscle and dendritic reticulum cells of lymphatic follicles. In basal epithelial cells Desmoglein 2 expression is generally very low. |
