| Description | Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF or VEGF-A), is a potent mediator of both angiogenesis and vasculogenesis in the fetus and adult. VEGF is expressed in multiple cells and tissues. VEGF expression is induced by hypoxia and cytokines such as IL-1, IL-6, IL-8, oncostatin M, and TNF-a. Sample Type: Serum and plasma Intended Use: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for the in vitro quantitative measurement of VEGF in human serum, plasma; and other biological fluids not being tested. Sensitivity: <1pg/ml Range: 49.2-12,000pg/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human VEGF.
