| Description | This gene encodes a member of the nidogen family of basement membrane glycoproteins. The protein interacts with several other components of basement membranes, and may play a role in cell interactions with the extracellular matrix. Sample Type: Serum, plasma, cell culture supernates Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of human nidogen 1 (NID1) concentrations in serum, plasma and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: 0.078ng/ml Range: 0.39-25ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human NID1. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human NID1 and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique.
