| Description | Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH) BioAssay™ ECL Kit (Human) is a quantitative, in vitro, competitive inhibition immunoassay (ECL) suitable for use in Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Test Principle: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Adrenocorticotropic Hormone. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH) and unlabeled Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH) (in standards or samples) for limited binding sites on the pre-coated antibody. After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH) in the sample.
