| Description | Purified (SDS-PAGE). L-Selectin belongs to a family of divalent cationdependent carbohydrate-binding glycoproteins or adhesion molecules. L-Selectin is expressed constitutively on lymphocytes, monocytes and granulocytes and interacts specifically with carbohydrate groups on activated endothelial cells. L-Selectin may be shed by proteolytic cleavage and circulating levels in biological fluids may be used as an indicator of various pathological conditions. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa39-332 from mature human L-selectin extracellular domain, fused to 6x His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot as a control. |
