| Description | Vitamin B1 (VB1) BioAssay™ ECL Kit (General) is a quantitative, in vitro, competitive inhibition immunoassay (ECL) suitable for use in Serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Test Principle: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Vitamin B1. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Vitamin B1 (VB1) and unlabeled Vitamin B1 (VB1) (in standards or samples) for limited binding sites on the pre-coated antibody. After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Vitamin B1 (VB1) in the sample. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. Upon plate development, the intensity of the emitted light is reverse proportional to the Vitamin B1 (VB1) level in the sample or standard. |
