| Description | Sample Type: Serum, plasma Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of mouse vitamin B12 (VB12) concentrations in serum and plasma. Sensitivity: 0.749pg/ml Range: 0.78-50pg/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse VB12. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse VB12 and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the direct competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for VB12 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with biotin-conjugated VB12. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between VB12 (Standards or samples) and biotin-conjugated VB12 with the pre-coated VB12 antibody. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in opposite to the amount of VB12 |
