| Description | Sample Type: Plant tissue Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of plant vitamin B12 (VB12) concentrations in plant tissue. Sensitivity: 14.967pg/ml Range: 15.6-1000pg/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of plant VB12. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between plant VB12 and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the direct competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for VB12 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with biotin-conjugated VB12. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between VB12 (Standards or samples) and biotin-conjugated VB12 with the pre-coated VB12 antibody. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells.
