| Description | Sample Type: Serum, plasma and egg white Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of chicken lysozyme (LZM) concentrations in serum, plasma and egg white. Sensitivity: 14.876ng/ml Range: 15.625-4000ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of chicken lysozyme. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between chicken lysozyme and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the direct competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for lysozyme has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with biotin-conjugated lysozyme. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between lysozyme (standards or samples) and biotin-conjugated lysozyme with the pre-coated lysozyme antibody. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added |
