| Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). CREB-binding protein acetylates histones, giving a specific tag for transcriptional activation. It also acetylates non-histone proteins, like NCOA3 and FOXO1. It binds specifically to phosphorylated CREB and enhances its transcriptional activity toward cAMP-responsive genes. Acts as a coactivator of ALX1 in the presence of EP300. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to mouse CREB-binding protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminal, expressed in Sf21 cells. Biological Activity: ~50-100ng are required for standard HAT assay. |
