Description2-790aa, Full Length of Mature Protein. MW: 89,614 Da. Purity >85% (SDS-PAGE). This gene was identified as a gene whose expression is rapidly induced by the tumor necrosis factor (TNF). This protein is a zinc finger protein, and has been shown to inhibit NF-kappa B activation as well as TNF-mediated apoptosis. Knockout studies of a similar gene in mice suggested that this gene is critical for limiting inflammation by terminating TNF-induced NF-kappa B responses.
