| Product Name | Got1, Recombinant, Mouse, aa1-413, His-Tag (Glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase 1 soluble) |
| Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). Got1 also known as Glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase 1 is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme which exists in cytoplasmic and mitochondrial forms, GOT1 and GOT2, respectively. GOT1 plays a role in amino acid metabolism and the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. The two enzymes are homodimeric and show close homology. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-413 of mouse Got1, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~48.6kD Specific Activity: ~80units/mg Unit Definition: Defined as the amount of enzyme that converts 1 micromole of alpha-ketoglutarate to L-Glutamate/minute at pH 8.0 at 25°C.
