| Product Name | GOT1, Recombinant, Human, His-tag |
| Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT) is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme which exists in cytoplasmic and mitochondrial forms, GOT1 and GOT2, respectively. GOT plays a role in aa metabolism and the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. The two enzymes are homodimeric and show close homology. Recombinant human GOT1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-413 and 433aa of human GOT1, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~48.4kD Specific Activity: >13unit/mg Unit Definition: One unit will convert 1.0umole of alpha-ketoglutarate to L-Glutamate per minute at pH 8.0 at 25°C. AA |
