| Description | Human Pulmonary Fibroblasts are Isolated from adult human lung tissue. The cells' principle function is production of type III collagen, elastin, and proteoglycans of the extracellular matrix of the alveolar septa. Pulmonary fibroblasts play an important role in the repair and remodeling processes following injury. Fibroblast disorders like pulmonary fibrosis or hypoxia-induced pulmonary hypertension can also be investigated with cultured human primary pulmonary fibroblasts. T25 flasks is required for cell adhension to the culture vessels. Grow cells in ECM-coated culture vessels with 5% CO2. Each vial contains at least 1x10^6 cells per ml. |
