| Description | Aldosterone Antibody LS-C58866. Specific for Aldosterone. Aldosterone is a steroid hormone which is produced by the adrenal gland. It has a number of functions relating to the kidney nephron including the balance of sodium and potassium, and increasing blood pressure. It is involved in two disorders: Addison's disease, where it is reduced, and Conn Syndrome, were it is it found in increased amounts. |
